Greetings Goblins and Gremlins,
I hope you are doing well. Listen, I know things are stressful out there. Moneys tight, everything costs more, and seems like everyone is on edge. Things are tough. The world feels like it could catch fire at any moment. But…hasn’t that always been the case? I try to overcome these feelings looking at and appreciating those I love and care for around me. Today, where I live, we are having unseasonably warm temperatures. The nice breeze in the fall leaves gives off a pleasant sound and the feel of the wind on us as it whips through the house is something to enjoy. I just try and find the magic in the little things. A cozy blanket and a nice warm drink always helps. Let’s get on with things and enjoy a little weird. For the Top 5 Weird I tried to theme it in cryptids in honor of Halloween.

3:43 AM - Awakenings of an Experiencer
Well, I managed to find a way to troll myself in one of the biggest, weirdest ways possible. I recently was made aware of a 2-star rating my memoir received on Amazon. At first, I was excited. My first review. Not so much when I saw it was 2 stars. Imagine my frustration when it came with no notes or written review. I racked my brain for days. What did I do? How could someone leave a 2-star review without letting me know why? Well, then came the written part around day 3. It read something to the effect of, “it isn’t true - the author says it isn’t in the title page - it should be marketed as a novel”. WTF? What had I done? I quickly ran to my room and flipped open my book. Sure enough. There it was. I had forgotten to delete boilerplate copy from a copyright page template for a novel I used. It basically says all people and events in this book are fictitious. Argh! I couldn’t believe I had forgotten to delete that, but I wasn’t surprised. In the end, I just had to laugh that I had managed to do this for my memoir. Luckily, I was able to quickly address it on my site and social media, via substack, and also correct it in the manuscript and re-upload to my Amazon store. So, for those of you who had it early, know you now have essentially a rare item like a miss-strike coin. Whew, what a fiasco. As for the book, I did receive my first 5-star rating recently. I am so moved by that. Yahoo!

With the republishing of the book, the reviews, and such, it has taken a hit with rankings on Amazon, if that kind of thing matters to you. I personally am ok with it, although I know it sucks performance wise. Just want to share my story to help others like me.
Things to come include that video trailer I want to make and also an audio version of the book at some point. Also, I started reading the Andreasson Affair and like how the book is very detailed with diagrams of the Andreasson’s house. It made me think I might look at doing a second edition of this memoir in a while with more content.

Light Anomaly Captured in Bedroom
This image came to me from a connection on social media. We have spoken a few times regarding my experiences and theirs. The person asked to remain anonymous as they do not seek attention but wanted to share with me as I was once a MUFON FI and figured I would be curious. They would be right, in this case. In the first image, we see what appears to be a typical bedroom. What’s special about that? Other than the superb taste in and stack of pillows, look closely. You’ll see a couple of specks on the photo. One to the bottom left of the bed near the foot and on to the bottom right of the photo in front of the frame at the footboard of the bed. When asked, the submitter confirmed the one on the right was the object in question. The one on the left was said by the submitter to be a piece of ‘detritus’ on the carpet. These are noted in image 2. I took the photo and cropped and zoomed in the object about 6 times magnification. Notice anything? I can’t help but feel like we are looking at wings and a body - almost what people describe as faeries. The submitter gave me permission to share and ask what others think. They theorize this is an entity they have felt often in their room.
If you look at the light sources in the image, and want to call this a flare or reflection on the mirror of the camera lens or something of that nature, we should be seeing things like shapes in the composition repeated back to us in the light anomaly. We just aren’t seeing this. If a flare, I typically look for angles relating to the light source and gradients in the fading end of the flare. Again, I am not seeing these things. The object appears to have its own unique shape and coloring. I also have no reason to disbelieve the submitter. What’s more is it does appear to have motion since it is blurry. That could be motion from the camera holder, but the rest of the image seems clear and sharp. That to me indicated the object moved or had movement.
If we think it is the window with the blinds reflect, I am just not sure. It thought it could be that too, but not as much after zooming in. The shapes don’t match like I would expect them to.

“The Case of the Vanishing Building”, The Flying Saucer Review, Volume 13, Issue 3 (May to June 1967) shares a case from John Keels Field Notebook on an incident of a man who in late October 1966 could not sleep and went for a walk late at night. On his midnight meandering, his trip included a sighting of a large, ‘L’ shaped building sitting in a field. More related sightings Keel went on to look into personally and were shared in this article. This was posted from the Historical Aerial Phenomenon Facebook group.

Both turn and are terrified to see a 10-foot-wide, 8-foot-high, glowing egg-shaped object with blue lights at its front hovering just above the ground about 40 feet from the riverbank. As the men, frozen with fright, watch, a door appears in the object and three strange beings float just above the river towards them. The two become numb and paralyzed as the entities carry them into the UFO. Some kind of “eye” device scans them before they are released 20 minutes later…”
